Weetabix is an independent maker of cereal products, inlcuding not only the Weetabix brand but also Alpen muesli and cereal bars, Weetos and Ready Brek.

All their products that we have so far examined, including cereal bars, are made without hydrogenated vegetable oils, and are therefore presumed to be free of trans fats.

The company has now confirmed that this is their policy - see below.

Statement on trans fats

At present, we do not use trans fats. It is our on-going policy to do all we can to avoid them and this will continue.
